Irish Language Walk in Upperchurch
A walk with the participants using the Irish language as much as possible will be held in Upperchurch on this Sunday, March 11th, starting from Upperchurch at 4.30 p.m. The event is part of the Seachtain na Gaeilge activities and will be on the Eamon an Chnoic Loop over 8 km.
Registration is free and there will be an optional meal available afterwards at a cost €10 if booked at registration. There will also be traditional Irish entertainment to kick off the St. Patrick’s week festivities. All are welcome including those with little or no knowledge of Irish. Other upcoming walking events in Upperchurch include the Easter Sunrise walk half an hour before sunrise on Easter Sunday, April 8th and a walking and cycling fundraiser on May 6th to develop the local section of the Beara Breifne Greenway. Family Fun Hill Walk on the Devils Bit,Saturday March 3rd, in aid of Templemore Youth Project. Walk Leader Dan Condron. Walk duration 2.5 / 3hrs approx. Meet at Templemore Arms at 12.30 for sign in. Depart at 12.45 sharp. Light refreshments will be served upstairs in the Town Hall immediately after walk. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
NB Water, sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing essential.

There is going to be a Leisure Cycle on Sunday 4th March commencing from Upperchurch Hall.
Distance involved are 50km Long Cycle starting at 10 am
20km Medium Cycle starting at 12 pm
10km Short Cycle also starting at 12 pm
You must Register on Morning of Cycle.
Non Members must pay €3 on morning of cycle.
For 2012 the captain is John Keane and the president is Liam Noonan
The outings for 2012 have been drawn up. We would encourage new members to join. The golf society is open to members of all golfing ability. The dates for the outings are as follows:
